Billy Gameli-Fiagbadu, is a B.Sc. Banking and Finance graduate from the University of Professional studies is currently working with Busy Internet as a Telesales Representative. Despite his corporate job, fashion and arts have always been his passion right from childhood. He recalls seeing his dad use numbers to draw human beings and that really inspired him.
He adds that his mother being a trader inspired him to turn his art into a business hence the birth of Kowastores, an online African handmade apparel and craft shop that seeks to give local crafts and artists the platform to showcase and market their works to the international market. Although it has beenjust a year, he hopes to use this platform to discover various craftsmen across the country and assist them sell their products on the international market.
He defines safe space as where the youth can learn various crafts and develop their ideas and talents into businesses with all the necessary support in place including an easy access to international networks.
Success to him has always been to teach someone to fish (create business and livelihood for themselves and community) instead of handing them fish which seems like an easier option.
